Schooling

Residents over three years of age receive learning opportunities based on their individual needs and abilities. From ages three to 21, all residents are eligible for special education services provided in the public schools. Each child’s educational/vocational goals and progress are updated regularly in an Individual Program Plan (IPP) developed by our interdisciplinary team. In addition, a wide range of developmental activities and therapies are offered seven days a week to supplement the schooling that takes place outside the facility.

In addition to classroom learning, some students may receive services such as physical, speech and occupational therapy during the school day.
